Connecting TallyPrime to this platform.

Setting it up
- 1
Create an application in your dashboard and choose zapier as the platform.
- 2
Register the redirect URL above on that application.
- 3
In zapier, create a new connection with the Client ID, Secret and the three URLs.
- 4
Start the connection. You will be sent to our approval screen.
- 5
Choose which TallyPrime connection it may use, and approve.
- 6
The TallyPrime actions are now available in that platform's step picker.
What is handled for you
| Behaviour | Detail |
|---|---|
| Authentication type | OAuth v2 in the Zapier Platform, with the Authorization URL, Access Token URL and Refresh Token URL below. |
| Line items | Zapier sends line items as parallel arrays keyed by field name. They are rebuilt into rows automatically, so mapping a line-item group works as expected. |
| One response shape | Zapier gets the same data and meta as every other caller, in snake_case. Its step preview lists nested fields on its own, so nothing is flattened. |
Testing the connection
GET /api/v1/oauth/userinfo confirms the token and returns the connection and company names — a good label for the platform's connection list.
Which operations to expose
Build the step list from GET /api/v1/tally/operations — label, description, required fields, whether it writes. It stays current without a connector release.
This guide opens when zapier goes live
The official Balancely app for zapier is on its way. Until then, any tool that can make a web request can use the REST API.
