TallyPrime inside Zapier

Add a Balancely action to any Zap and it posts a proper voucher to your TallyPrime.

On its way to the Zapier marketplace. The same actions work today through the Direct API.

Included in every plan

A Balancely step between a webhook and TallyPrime in Zapier

Three steps to your first Zap

Once the connector is in place, every later automation is only the last two.

01
Connect your company

Install the free connector once, on the computer that runs TallyPrime.

Takes 5 minutes
02
Add a Balancely action

Search for Balancely, pick the event, sign in and choose the company.

Takes 2 minutes
03
Map the fields and publish

Customer, amount, items — pick them from the trigger data. Test the step, then turn the Zap on.

Takes 2 minutes

Three kinds of action, on every plan

Counted live from the product, and every one is included in every plan.

—
Post entries

Each one is a proper voucher, checked before it is sent.

Look things up

Live from your books. Nothing is changed.

Start a Zap

Something is entered in TallyPrime, or happens in Balancely.

Zapier’s quirks, absorbed

The differences between Zapier and TallyPrime are ours to deal with, not yours.

Line items, the Zapier way

Zapier sends line items as parallel arrays. They are rebuilt into rows, so mapping a line-item group just works.

Fields ready to map

Every answer arrives in snake_case with one number and ISO dates, so each field maps straight into the next step.

Replays are safe

Replay a failed Zap run as often as you like — the same request lands on the same record.

Things Zapier users ask first

How the Zapier app behaves, and what counts against which plan.

Is Balancely a public Zapier app?

Yes. Search for Balancely when adding an action and it appears like any other app. No invite link, no private build.

The action errors clearly with "TallyPrime is not running" and nothing is posted. Zapier keeps the run so you can replay it once TallyPrime is open.

Yes. Balancely actions are ordinary actions, so they work inside Paths, Loops and multi-step Zaps.

Yes. Triggers such as New Sales Invoice, New Receipt and New Ledger start a Zap when the entry is made in TallyPrime itself. Zapier checks on its usual schedule, and nothing has to be set up in TallyPrime.

Each Balancely action is one Zapier task, the same as any other app, and one operation on your Balancely plan.

Yes. TallyPrime is desktop software, so the computer running it has to be on with the connector running. The connector starts with Windows and sits in the system tray, so in practice it looks after itself.

TallyPrime 7.x, with connectivity switched on (F1 → Connectivity → act as Both). That setting is what lets any program on that computer talk to Tally.

Yes. Each connection is bound to one company, and you can add several — from one computer or from several. Every step points at the connection you choose.
