TallyPrime inside n8n
Add a Balancely node to any n8n workflow and it posts a proper voucher to your TallyPrime. Works on n8n cloud and self-hosted.
On its way to the n8n marketplace. The same actions work today through the Direct API.

Voucher SI/0142 in the right companyThree steps to your first workflow
Once the connector is in place, every later automation is only the last two.
Connect your company
Install the free connector once, on the computer that runs TallyPrime.
Add a Balancely node
Search for Balancely in the node panel, pick the operation, add your credential and choose the company.
Map the fields and activate
Use expressions from earlier nodes. Execute once to check the output, then activate the workflow.
Three kinds of node, on every plan
Counted live from the product, and every one is included in every plan.
Post entries
Each one is a proper voucher, checked before it is sent.
Look things up
Live from your books. Nothing is changed.
Start a workflow
Something is entered in TallyPrime, or happens in Balancely.
n8n’s quirks, absorbed
The differences between n8n and TallyPrime are ours to deal with, not yours.
Either kind of repeating row
A fixedCollection wraps rows in a property; “multiple values” sends parallel arrays. Both are unwrapped into rows.
Cloud or self-hosted
Your redirect URL is your own n8n host. Register each environment and the same node works on all of them.
A trigger node too
Start a workflow when a sales invoice, receipt, payment or ledger is entered in TallyPrime itself.
Things n8n users ask first
How the n8n app behaves, and what counts against which plan.
How do I send line items?
Item lines take an array, so a Code node or a Split Out / Aggregate pair builds a multi-line invoice in one node.
What happens if TallyPrime is closed when the workflow runs?
The node errors with "TallyPrime is not running" and nothing is posted. Use n8n's retry or error workflow to run it again.
Is there a trigger node?
Yes. A workflow can start when a sales invoice, receipt, purchase invoice, payment, credit or debit note, ledger or stock item is entered in TallyPrime itself. Webhooks also fire when a connection comes online or an entry succeeds or fails.
Does my computer need to stay on?
Yes. TallyPrime is desktop software, so the computer running it has to be on with the connector running. The connector starts with Windows and sits in the system tray, so in practice it looks after itself.
Which versions of TallyPrime does it work with?
TallyPrime 7.x, with connectivity switched on (F1 → Connectivity → act as Both). That setting is what lets any program on that computer talk to Tally.
Can I automate more than one company?
Yes. Each connection is bound to one company, and you can add several — from one computer or from several. Every node points at the connection you choose.
